The RSA is an umbrella. That means it isn't a Regency group in and of itself, but it represents a number of groups around the country (and the Americas, we hope). That means that if you or some people you know are interested in creating a group like our members and becoming one of those represented by us, we would be happy to provide you with tips and assistance as needed. Our aim is to create a great enough following with enough participation that we could afford to hold national events. But the primary aim right now is to consolidate the groups under one heading so that when someone is looking, they can find what they want in one convenient place.
Starting a group is not easy, and maintaining it even moreso. We have had many members before, but the numbers invariably winnow down because it is a lot of work to keep a group going and keep people interested. But some people manage to keep their groups lively and active and participate in all sorts of wonderful events.
So if you love the Regency, whatever aspect of it you love, you too can create a chapter of the RSA, and begin your own adventures. Here is a little tutorial from the founder of the RSA and the ORS on how to create a group. Don't hesitate to let us know if you have any questions.
